Showcase Sunday 17-02-13

17 Feb 2013

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky @ Books, Biscuits and Bites. Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and The Story Siren, the aim of this meme is to showcase our newest books!

Scarlet by Marissa Meyer
Paper Valentine by Brenna Yovanoff
Hidden by Marianne Curley
Dance of Shadows by Yelena Black
Anthem for Jackson Dawes by Celia Bryce
Everbound by Brodi Ashton
The Indigo Spell by Richelle Mead | Review
Life in Outer Space by Melissa Keil

I'm currently reading Scarlet, and it's really good so far :) I think I'm a little in love with Thorne! I love the UK/Aussie cover for Paper Valentine; can't wait to read it! I'm so glad Everbound arrived this week...I re-read Everneath a few days back, and OMG. THE FEELS!! Poor Jack<3 I hear Cole plays a huge part in the sequel...and while I'm against anything romantic between him and Nikki, I think I'm happy to learn more about him :D  Hidden and Life in Outer Space are both Aussie YA and I hope to read them soon! (I need to embrace my 'Aussieness' haha)

A massive thank you to Penguin, Simon & Schuster, Bloomsbury, Romi @Where the writer comes to write & Hardie Grant Egmont for the above awesomeness<3

  4. Oh man, I can't wait to get my own copy of Scarlet. The cover is beautiful! I haven't read the Everneath books yet but I did pick them both up from the library this week. Can't wait to see what you think of Dance of Shadows - I've seen some really colorful reviews of that one so far.

  8. I only recently discovered that Hidden was written my an Aussie author. It's funny how that suddenly makes me more interested. :D I have a copy and plan to read it closer to the release date. As for Everbound, I can't wait to see what you think of it! I loved it more than I thought I would. Enjoy! :)

  10. SHIRLEY BB. So many flawless books! GAH GAH GAH GAH.

SCARLET! God I need to buy that book asap. Wasn't Cinder absolutely amazing?! I'm kind of bummed that I read it during my June exam period last year so I couldn't devote proper time to it, but AHHH. Feelings. <3 I'm so excited for Scarlet...LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD! :D Thanks to Once Upon a Time (the show) I'm in love with all things associated with that fairy tale.

THE INDIGO SPELL. Jealous feelings. CAN YOU FEEL THEM? I'M SENDING THEM THROUGH THE INTERNET. YOU SHOULD BE SENSING THEM AS I'M WRITING THIS COMMENT. Damn you Book Depository! I NEED MY COPY NOW.

I need to get my shit together and read Everneath. And then immediately get my hands on Everbound. SO MUCH RAVING FOR THIS BOOK. What is wrong with me. Must. Read. It. ASAP.

Ahhhh Dance of Shadows actually sounds really interesting. Looking forward to seeing what you think of it bb!

    ENJOYYYY YOURRRR BOOOOKSSSS!! <3

  12. Some brilliant books Shirley, your haul has reminded me that I need to read Everneath and Cinder soon, there seems to be so much love around for Scarlet and Everbound, so I know I will have to pick these up soon. I think I'm the only one that doesn't like the UK cover for Paper Valentine, but as there's a mystery involved I will definitely be picking it up! I hope you enjoy all your books hun! :)

  14. I can't wait to see what you think of The Indigo Spell. I loved it and any Sydrian fan will be swooning away. I think I like the US cover of Paper Valentine a little better. I want to read it because I love mysteries. I hear that Nikki is solidly on Team Jack even though Cole is a big player in Everbound. This is coming from the author, so yay, because I'm team Jack as well. Enjoy your awesome reads Shirley. :)
