In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren, which allows bloggers to share what books they've borrowed, received in the mail or bought in the past week.
Melody Burning by Whitney Strieber (Thank you Allen & Unwin!)
This actually has er...low ratings on goodreads, but the blurb immediately caught my interest! There's also apparently insta-love? Ahh..well..we're see how this goes..
The Future of Us by Jay Asher, Carolyn Mackler (Thank you Simon & Schuster Australia!)
I can't wait to read this one! It'd be interesting to read about what people back in the 1990s, thought of internet, and *gasp* FACEBOOK!
Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout
oohhhhh I'll definitely have to start this one soon! Several blogger friends have said this is very similar to VA series! I have no idea if that's a good thing or not...BUT I'm excited to read this!
Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey
Jessica Rules the Dark Side will be out next year (Jan I think?). So, now's the perfect time to start this!
If I Stay by Gayle Forman
Confession time: I'm not a fan of contemporary YA novels. I'm more of a paranormal/fantasy girl. BUT this has receieved rave reviews & recognition around the blogosphere, and I feel like I should try it!
Where She Went by Gayle Forman
Hopefully I'll like If I Stay enough to read Where She Went! Apparently this one's even better than the first?
Delirium by Lauren Oliver
Pandenomium's coming out soon! I feel like I'm the only person who hasn't read this one yet! Definitely looking forward to it!
Destiny's Fire by Trisha Wolfe (Thank you Omnific Publishing!)
I'm participating in the blog tour for this early next year! So, look out for my tour stop :P
Ripper by Amy Carol Reeves (Thank you Netgally/Flux!)
ooohhh Jack the Ripper!!! I'm officially on the lookout for more books on this mysterious case! This one's actually set in 1888! Should be interesting...
Seraphina by Rachel Hartman (Thank you Netgalley/Random House!)
DRAGONS!!!! Need I say more? Definitely excited to read this!
The Night She Disappeared by April Henry
ooohhh I sense murder mystery! Hmm...I probably shouldn't read this at night - the cover's enough to freak me out!
What did you receive in your mailbox?
Omg you got so much this week! Half-blood=jealous!! And I sooo need to read The Future of Us. I forgot that I also got Destiny's Fire and am also in the tour (yay us!!). I don't know why I forgot since I'm reading it right now lol New follower! Thanks for stopping by :)

ReplyDeleteLooks like you got some totally fabulous stuff! I have Delirium and The Future Of Us on my shelf and need to get to them. I want to buy and read If I Stay / Where She Went (I like contemporary) and my blog is a stop for the Destiny's Fire tour, too. That book looks very promising. Glad to see that you had such a fantastic week. I hope the next one is just as good. :)

Delirium is AMAZING!!! Lauren Oliver has an amazing way with words <3 I so hope you love it. I guess it's a good thing you waited closer to Pandeominum's release, because it ends on a agghhhh cliffhanger! And I loved Jessica's Guide!

Okay...you have an AWESOME haul. Delirium is awesome...made me cry. If I Stay is decent, but Where She Went is totally amazing. That's one of my favorite reads of the year. And I just finished reading The Future of Us. I l iked it:) Enjoy all your books.

Nice haul! I still have to pick up Delirium as well! And Melody Burning looks really good I'm curious to see your review on it! And you're not the only one who hasn't read Wither - I haven't either. I did't actually request Fever so I was a bit surprised. Now I hope I don't have Wither o_O

My IMM
Ohh, Delirium and Half-Blood! I have to say I want to read them both quite badly. Looks like a pretty good week for you. :D Hope you'll enjoy them all. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog:
ReplyDeleteI don't come across many aussie book bloggers.. but then I am still new to book blogging, so what would I know? lol
Delirium was great. :D I had originally bought that book cover, and then when they re-released the book in the other cover, the smaller book.. I sold mine and rebought it, since I know book 2 will be like the re-released one, and not like the larger format one.. and I have this thing where I need everything to be the same. LOL
I'm not a big fan of Contemporary either, so if there are books I am unsure of I just put them on my e-reader. So I have If I stay and along with The Future of Us on my e-reader (mostly in this case because I haven't read any of Jay's work, so I am not sure if its gonna be something I will love)
