"Waiting On Wednesday" is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine , that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
Title: The Hunt
Author: Andrew Fukuda
Publisher: St. Martin's Press
Expected Release Date: May 8th 2012
Seventeen-year-old Gene struggles to survive in a society where humans have been eaten to near extinction by the general population. When Gene is chosen to participate in the government-sponsored hunt for the remaining humans, he must learn the art of the hunt but also elude his fellow hunters whose suspicions about his true human nature are growing.
A society where humans are almost extinct? *shudders* But it does sound interesting!
Oh, and the cover- i love the simplicity of it! It sort of reminds me of Divergent/Article 5 with a guy & girl looking out into the horizon.
Great pick. I hadn't really heard about that book before, but it sounds great!

I swear, thanks to WoW, I never have to worry about books (new or otherwise) slipping through the cracks. I always find out a new one every time! And this is one of those times. I like the premise of this. It sounds adrenaline-spiking and shuddersome. Some my favorite responses to dystopian reads(:
