Q. If you could change the ending of any book (or series), which book would you choose? Why and to what?

I think this will be a common answer, but really, I've never hated an ending of a book more than this one. So, BREAKING DAWN. What on earth happened?!?! My will be SPOILERY so beware!

In fact, I didn't just have a problem with the ending of Breaking Dawn, but I disliked the entire book. Nothing happened. Seriously. The whole book could've been written in like 100 pages and 3/4 of the book was pretty much dedicated to Bella's pregnancy. And then, along came the baby. I personally don't have a problem with the name Renesme but what on earth was Meyer thinking when she nicknamed her NESSIE? Why the hell would anyone name their child after the Loch Ness Monster?  Then, there was this whole building up of tension and excitement and I was totally pumped for the fight between the vamps (with the assistance of werewolves). However, after a nice little chat and a stroll around, the bad guys decided to leave. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CLIMAX? What happened to the amazingly intense action and vamp fighting that was supposed to take place?!?! Gosh, I was so pissed when I read it. Finally, the ending. Happily Ever After.

The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Jennifer over at Crazy for Books

“What are you most looking forward to this fall/autumn season – A particular book release? Halloween? The leaves changing color? Cooler temperatures? A vacation? (If your next season is other than fall/autumn, tell us about it and what you are most looking forward to in your part of the world!)”

Well, it's currently Spring here in Australia and I happen to love Spring! Well, I'm looking forward to finishing all my major exams for this year & going overseas in 2 weeks! That means no school for 3 weeks :) I haven't read much since school started (it's been hectic), so I'll be bringing along a whole load of books to read on the plane =D Oh, and I'm looking forward to celebrating my parents + my birthday (all in Spring!) - it'll be fun :)

  1. Hopping through. I think lots of things about Breaking Dawn are weird. I think Nessie's name sounds horrible but I love that it honors Renee and Esme.

  2. Completely agree about Breaking Dawn! Nothing happened and creepy crap happened like Bella's pregnancy and Jacob imprinting on the baby! I mean come on. I wish it was still spring in America. It is my favorite time of the year!

  4. I like the spring season after fall. I am so ready for the cooler fall temperatures to ease this unrelenting South Texas heat! Also I can't wait to get my hands on The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, Reamde by Neal Stephenson, The Prague Cemetery by Umberto Eco, and 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami!
    Have a wonderful spring!

  8. Old follower, here for the hop. I agree with you on Breaking Dawn, it was kind of a downer, all the builing of the conflict and there was no climax!
